On May 2, the secretary of China classification society (CCS) met in Beijing with Nick Brown, President of global shipping and Marine operations of Lloyd's register of shipping (LR). Vice President zhu kai and related department leaders attended the meeting.
The secretary welcomed the LR visit, saying that CCS and LR are both classification societies that play an important role in maritime affairs and jointly provide services for maritime safety and Marine environmental protection. The two sides have complemented each other, and in recent years have conducted fruitful cooperation in many fields. We hope that this good cooperation will continue and expand continuously.
Mr Brown said LR had always attached great importance to the friendly relationship with CCS and hoped to continue to enhance exchanges and cooperation between the two sides.
The two sides also exchanged views on the progress of the projects currently under cooperation, the areas of further cooperation and maritime hotspot issues of mutual interest.
